    Hello
I just tried to import a Canon 5D3 DNG into PP 7.1 and this is what it looks like:

What am I doing wrong or is this a bug ?

    Greetings
    Philippe

That would be Canon raw. Right? I don’t believe Premiere supports that. Support is for CinemaDNG raw – and as yet, not complete support, judging by other comments.

Can you open it properly in Photoshop or Lightroom?

It’s Canon Raw. I can open it in Photoshop and camera raw pops up and let me tweak it.

Correct. Photoshop and Premiere aren’t sharing the same raw modules. So still photo raw formats aren’t going to be supported across the board in Premiere or even AE for that matter.

Oliver is Correct. Here’s the official statement:

Uncompressed Cinema DNG from Blackmagic Cinema Cameras
Import and edit uncompressed Cinema DNG media (or ProRes or DNxHD media) from Blackmagic Cinema Cameras. Cinema DNG can be debayered on a supported GPU for extreme playback performance.

With that said you may still be able to import certain non Blackmagic CNDG files but they are not officially supported. Are focus for this release was Blackmagic Cinema DNG support and debaryed GPU accelerated.

We look forward to adding additional support for other CNDG file types in future releasees.

Add it to your wish list:
