  • Canon 5D to DI Color Correct – Add Timecode??

We are trying to get a project that was shot in both RED and the Canon 5D into a DaVinci Resolve for color correction and then into a Flame for conform. The RED footage isn’t an issue as the Resolve will work in 2K and automatically import it. The 5D footage was brought into FCP with the plug-in and timecode was added on import. To get it into the DaVinci, we can output 10-bit Uncompressed QTs, but the problem is that it doesn’t retain the timecode that was assigned upon FCP import.

Does anyone know how to keep the timecode into the QT exports? Or another solution?

    Thanks in advance.

Why not? Are you using the Media Manager to RECOMPRESS? That will retain the timecode.
