Cannot XA10 Mts files to use on Final Cut Pro —
I am trying to import footage from Cannon XA10 to edit. I have Final Cut Pro 7 and it does not recognize the files. I am reading online and learning the format is not compatible. There are some “converters” advertised. Should I try to buy/ download one? Which one works best? Or should I try to get a new editing system other then FCP. I am pretty familiar with FCP7, but I am learning that it is not the best to use with my new cannon XA10. What is the best way for me to be able to see and edit my footage? Buying a new camera is not an option. Any advise is very welcome. Thanks.

Clipwrap2 is the best out there. They are always keeping it up to date. Use it to convert the footage to ProRes 422. divergentmedia.com
