Cannot view file
Hi everyone
I have a problem. When i try play a quicktime file, AE7 opens it in a footage window. So if i want to view it, i have to render it first. I thought it would be something in the preferences but I can’t find anything. We are several persons who work on this workstation on different shift. So maybe someone else did something but nobody knows! Anyway!I had the same problem with WAV file. The only thing I did to solve the problem is replacing WAV files with AIF file. But now, I can’t replace QT file for something else.
Does someone had this problem before?
Sorry for the english mistakes, it’s not my first language.

Maybe I wasn’t clear. when you want to view a Quicktime file, you can double-click on the file in your project window. AE opens a media player window with a PLAY button. So you can play the video as well as if it was Quicktime player, but inside AE.
I’ve been working with After effect for 5 years now. It’s always been working that way.
So my problem is: when I do that now, AE doesn’t open the media player window anymore. It opens it like if had made an ALT-click. Another workstation where I work has not that problem. It’s the same machine, same version of AE.
Any clue?
