cannot see video event fx in preview monitor
Two issues, both deal with preview monitor.
When I first loaded vegas 10 I was able to click on a clip in the media bin, hit the space bar and view in the preview monitor. Now I have to push the play button.
In addition was able to also see any effect applied to a clip in the preview – for example color correction, black & white etc.
I cannot see any of these effect off the time line in the preview. I see the clip, no effect.s When I render, all the effects are there.
What setting is not set correctly? Thank you

All are simple fixes:
For the first issue, you have to press the auto preview button
in the project media tab, then automatically media will play
as they are highlighted.For the next issue, just above the preview window, deselect the
split screen view button and you are good to go.Steve Rhoden

I spent 2 days trying to work out why my Video fx were seemingly not doing anything because the preview window showed nothing.
I figured it was something really simple but nowhere in the Vegas manual did I find a warning to ensure the split screen button must be off to view fx changes as you make them….. grrrrrrr
thankfully Duane had the very same issue and I found this thread with a google search.
To be honest I think changing the colour of buttons more clearly to show when they are on/off
