  • Cannot Render out a usable Mpeg 2 for DVD arch

Posted by Don Cobble on October 6, 2013 at 2:45 pm

I upgraded to the 12 Pro Suite – Now I cannot render out an Mpeg2 file using the standard “DVD Arch NTSC Widescreen Video Stream”. It Renders, but the picture freezes, jumps, slow mo’s and pixilates. But, just in sections. I have tried multiple drives to render to even rendering to a SSD, same thing. Is there a fix OR can I use another setting to render out for DVD Arch?

Try turning off GPU in the Render As, Customize Template.

    THANK U!
Don’t know why but glad it does work – didn’t see where to turn GPU off in render setting So I just turned off GPU in Preferences – had to shut down V12 – but it worked

GPU support is still new to Vegas and, in my opinion, it should be default off. Just turn it on when you are sure everything is working. GPU works for most users, but those who have problems are quite vocal in their disappointment.
