    Hi Guys,
Working with Final Cut Studio 2 (FCP 6.03).
Format is 625/25 SD PAL (720×576), and using IMX 50 compression.

The problem is that exporting any video with a Motion text layer added, when I bring it back it needs rendering.

Is this a bug in FCP? (I believe there was a similar issue with DVCPRO-50)

I am trying to add VT clock text over the top of my (IMX50 video) line-up sequence.
I can export just the video/audio layers, as self-contained .mov, and the file drops right back on the timeline.
If I add motion text, (set to 720×576, frame rate 25, DV/PAL aspect ratio – same as my video), then render and export as .mov, it will not drop back on the timeline without rendering.
As far as I can tell I have everything set to the same format.

Any ideas would be great, as I have spent a long time on this and just cannot crack it!
    Thanks
    Chris
