    Hi everyone,

    I am new to this forum and in need of some help;

    My daughter and I have been playing around with Windows Movie Maker for a while and then decided we needed something better; we got the trial version of Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9 Platinum and found it worked really well.

    We have since bought the proper version of Movie Studio 9 Platinum for my daughters birthday (in a few days time) but havent given it to her yet.

    The problem we are having is with trying to preview HD video clips that have been captured with her new Samsung U10 Full HD Ultra Compact Camcorder – Black (1920 x 1080 x 30p Full HD video, 10MP Still Image)
    When we add one of these videos and try to preview it, the video is all jerky, ie the frame counter doesnt just run from start to finish, it seems to run the first 5 or so frames, pauses, jumps to frame 20, pauses, jumps to frame, 35, etc
    So we cannot succesfully playback any of the new HD videos! It is causing us stress!

    Do you think this is an incompatibility issue between Saumsung and Sony? or is it a limitation of the trial version?
    I have tried various things like ‘match media settings’, changing the amount of RAM used for preview, tried every kind of template available, but nothing seems to help.

    I can get full PC specs (am on my laptop at present), but as far as I can tell we have the processor/RAM requirements needed.

    I have also got the details of the video file, if it will help:

    I love creative cow. I am also having trouble with a video. It is an old one and to my surprise it says 100.000 fps. I think that has something to do with the problem.
