cannot play P2 video on G5
I have a MacPro that will play HD 720 video captured from P2 cards, but when I try to load into FCP (same version) on my Power Mac, it doesn’t come up.

Load from the CARDS? Or just copy over the quicktime files? AVCIntra? Did you import as ProRes, or AVCIntra native?

What version of FCP is installed on your G5?
My G5 (FCP 5.0.4) couldn’t see (import) 720p clips, but had no problems with 1080i.
Of course my MBP with FCP 5.1.4 has no problems with either of those formats.
Just a hint from me, otherwise, Shane can better solve your problem.

There in no way for G5 to handle AVCIntra.
