    Hi Again

I have downloaded several stock footage demo clips and sample mpegs, and i wanted to get them to play easier in fcp, so i used quicktime pro to Export as NTSC DV and, for comparison, QT Animation

the files play fine in QT

however, neither one will import into FCP. i get a file error message. (unkown file)

AND the original mpeg or mov files import fine!

i have done a search on these subjects and as such i have trashed the prefs (i think. ken stones description did not match what i found) and ran FCP rescue (i think. the site has dissapeared).

is this to be expected? it seems others are having problems with QT and FCP, no?

i guess i could import em, pop em on their own sequence, scale em up, render the sequence, then cut in the sequence where i need it.

any other ideas? and any insight as to the qt pro thing?

    thanx in advance

    bee eph
