Activity Forums VEGAS Pro Cannot drag audio files to timeline in Sony Vegas Pro 8

    yeah i did i have all the codecs i need. it just wont let me drag and drop like i use to.

    sony vegas 10 now but version b.

    Are you using the 64-bit version of 32-bit version? If you are using the 64-bit version, you will need 64-bit codecs.

    I am using the 32 bit version, i have the k-lite codec pack install since i have 32 bit version.

    Well… that could be the root of all your problems. Never install a codec-pak on a video editing workstation. It will replace the high quality codecs that you paid good money for, with free open source versions of questionable value. Unfortunately they don’t always uninstall cleanly so this may be permanent damage. I would uninstall K-Lite, uninstall all of you Sony software, reboot the computer, then re-install all of the Sony software and pray that it all works.
