  Cannot capture short clips shot with free-run timecode

  I am ingesting some footage for a doc. It has been shot on HDV with the JVC GY-HD250. The footage was shot with the camera set to record free-run timecode.

  I am capturing directly from the camera to FCP via firewire 400 onto a MacBook Pro. FCP 6.04 captures long clips perfectly but short clips (i.e. less than 10 secs) will not transfer to FCP. Longer clips on either side of the short clips are perfectly captured to FCP.

  In FCP ‘log and capture / ‘clip settings’ tab’ I have ‘un-checked’ ‘Create new clip on Start /Stop

  same results checked and un-checked

  Any suggestions?
