  • Can you use xpresso to make effectors effect any property of a clone?

If you have for example a bend deformer bending a cube and make a 20 * 20 field of these cubes using a cloner object, can you now use a random effector to change the strength or angel of the bend deformer individually for each clone?

I searched the web for this thing and in some places I read that xpresso can only be used to get data out of clones, but not to set them. But I would like to be sure about this.

    thanks for any help

I think the clones are instances and while you can read the data from the clones you can’t read or affect the bend which is a child of the clone. But you can animate the bend then fool with the time of the animation with effectors.
