Hi I’m on a PC, and I work with several graphic apps. When I work on a MAC, the OS previews PSD in the filebrowser, but what about MS Windows XP? Is it possible to get XP to recognize PSD and show a thumbnail version of the file in the filebrowser?

Can you surgest a picture viewer tool?

    Thanks.

In your Photoshop Preferences… make sure you go to Fiel Handling.. then turn on Windows Preview

That’s odd..I don’t have that option on my version. Not on CS1 or 2. I’m sure I used to be able to preview PSD thumbs, but after reading this I checked and now I can’t!?!

Isn’t there a way of doing it via Windows itself? I can’t remember.

I use CS2 and I don’t have this option either.
I use my Adobe Bridge to preview my PSD files.

We have developed a commercial solution that provides thumbnails, previews, and metadata viewing for PSD files saved with Maximize Compatibility. Our PSD codec works on 64 bit and 32 bit Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP SP3.
