  • Can you modify stereo CLIPS to be discrete audio tracks?

Posted by David Bertman on August 3, 2005 at 11:27 pm

I have a bunch of clips that were digitized into FCP 5.0.2 in stereo. They actually were supposed to be 2 discrete audio channels. I know I can modify them (opt L) in the timeline but that means I have to do a modify every time I use the clips.

Is there anyway to modify the clips themselves so it sees them as audio 1 & 2 as opposed to stereo?

    Thanks

    Hi Jerry-

Thanks for the reply. How do you unstereo them in the browser? Option L doesnt work there nor does the modify>unlink stereo pair menu command.

It only works in the timeline.
