  • Can you double record your avid output?

I’m wanting to output to two tapes at the same time from my avid symphony (on meridien) and was trying to think of a way, either with the avid controlling two machines, or looping control out of the first machine into the second? I think I’ve done this a long time ago, but might not have time to test it before I need to do it. Anyone done something similar?
    thanks

In the past, I’ve done it once or twice, but only controlled one deck, then looped picture, sound and timecode through to the other. I don’t know how to control two decks from Avid.

I do it all the time – as Job said, I loop the video out of the first deck, but chase the timecode on the second deck and crash record it.
