Activity Forums Adobe After Effects Can you copy paths between Mocha project files?

You can merge projects using mocha Version 3. But you will still have issues copying splines from one layer onto another since mocha only allows for copying and pasting of keyframes onto a single layer.

If you need to merge KFs from two different layers, then do it in your compositing application.

Thanks for the detailed reply, Roland. So I guess it’s faster to redraw the shape for each shot?

[Chris Dukes] ” So I guess it’s faster to redraw the shape for each shot?”

It depends on how complex/simple your shape is. I did mention earlier that you should look into merging your tracking/shape data in AE – this is a general rule of thumb for issues such as yours.

But that’s only in version 3, right?

Chris, you can merge, aggregate, multiply, offset – do all sorts of things in AE once you get mocha’s tracking data into AE.

Let us know what you are trying to merge – transforms/shape/corner pin. Then add specifics such as in/out TC of the different mocha layers that are involved.
