  • Can you control the removal of duplicate VFR frames in FCP?

I am trying to capture footage shot on the varicam at 30p into FCP. FCP is automatically removing the VFR frames. But it makes my clip 23.976 not 29.97. Why? Is there a way to stop that and force it to become 29.97?

Check your FCP capture settings. This should not be a problem. Confirm from user bits that the actual frame rate is 30fps.
