Can we use Maya for a FCP project?

February 27, 2007 at 4:50 pmNot sure that Shake is the ‘right’ answer to your question. Sure it will integrate with FCP via QT files but, if you simply want to put a 3D logo on the front of a video, just render it to a QT movie in the right format and import it into your FCP project.

SHAKE is specially designed to work with the MAYA and the 3DStudioMax files. Even recognice the z channel of these files. Just bring your MAYA stills to SHAKE and export them with a QT codec that support alpha channel (With Annimation i.e.). Them bring your .mov to FC and done.
