Can We Migrate a Kona LHe card from a dead G5 into a Intel Mac Tower?
Our G5 ran flawlessly for 8 years with its’s AJA LHe card…But she finally bit it..Temp sensor stays on along with full blast fan..but no boot..Black screens. We have a Intel machine 2 x 2.93 Quad Xeon (8TB internal 32 GB RAM) to migrate too. Does anybody have any experience making that work. It wont boot with the AJA card in..It chimed when powering up..but no complete boot up (black screens)
Any comments or suggestions much appreciated..I’ll take ya sailing if ever on Maui 🙂

It should work…
Maybe your card died with the G5? Did you put it in a slot AJA recommends? Did you check if it is seated in the PCI properly? Try a PRAM-Zap…. -

I contacted AJA..No can..That early of a KONA LHe card will only work in a G5 or Intel ver. 1,1 or 2,1.
Oh well..Good thing we kept our old still working G5’s! That cartd still works like a champ..Just dead ended at FCP 6 at this station..
