Can the first 5 seconds be achieved in Vegas?
I know this might be a simple effect but I am trying to achieve this in vegas. This is from FCP edit: https://vimeo.com/15064437
I just need to do the first 5 seconds just like it. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks -

Absolutely.
Bit much to type in exactly how, but generally speaking you’d use multiple video tracks and a combination of the Track Motion and Pan/Crop tools.
