Can Sony Vegas 9 projects be opened in Vegas 12?

Version 9 was probably the most stable, reliable version of Sony Vegas ever. It’s been run by thousands of satisfied users, but because *your* PC has a problem, there *must* be something wrong in Vegas.

Well I can’t think what else it would be. If I’m able to render fine in Vegas 10, which requires the same specs if not higher than 9, yet I can’t render in 9. And my specs are within and above the recommended for vegas 9, and I’m rendering in fairly basic quality (720p, around 4mins long), yet it can render up to 4K.
