Can PRO 9 open and/or work with any vector image files?
It does not appear to me that VEGAS PRO 9 can open an ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR (*.AI) vector image file.
Are there any other Vector-based image or movie formats PRO 9 can handle?

No, Vegas Pro cannot open Adobe Illustrator files. It can work with certain Flash SWF file formats (the older Macromedia formats).
