Can one change the levels of left and right channels independently on timeline?

Am sure someone will tell you the best way, but in the meanwhile, could always duplicate the audio track, then make one the left channel, one the right, then change them as you like

One of the new tools in Excalibur 4 was made specifically for this purpose. It will take the stereo event, copy it to another track, and the make one “left only” and the other one “right only”.

That’s really your best way to do this – just create a separate track and use a volume envelope to control them individually.
