    Heres what Im doing

    Photoshop
    1. create new comp 720×480 72 dpi transpaernt
    2. Pasted in a can of spam about 1/4 size of the comp
    3. added to it with other objects on seperate layers
    3. save
    (this is not a recipe)

    Motion
    1. import the PS file
2 add filter (such as light rays)

    Heres my problem
the rays get cut off, as though the layer is a smaller size, but its not. This happens with other filters also

Is there something wrong with the way I save it in PS, can anybody help me please
Oh ya, the same thing also happens in FCP 4.5

Are you adding the ray to the entire comp layer or just the layer with the can?

Sorry I took so long to get back with ya, I just got the kids off to school and now back to work.

I was just adding the filter to one of the objects in the layer. I see now, that if I add the filter to the whole layer it goes all the way to the screens eges. Thanks

But what if I have the spam lable cut out as an object with in the layer. Then the filter seems to be limited and does not reach the screens edges.

Do I have to put the lable in its own layers out side of the spam comp?

OK I just tryed making each object (lable) in its own layer and it works, both in motion and FCP.

    Thank you very much

    Aloha Ron
