[Ansab Khan] “Does Final Cut Pro runs on Windows Vista?”

    No

[Ansab Khan] “if there is any similar software which works in Windows other that After Effect CS3 “

After Effects is a compositing / SFX software. Premiere is an editing tool that runs on Windows.

Avid makes some fine editing software that will run on Vista.

    All the best,

Most software programs have information on their website that has tech specs for system requirements.

Here’s the page for Final Cut Pro:

no fcp doesn’t run on windows and i don’t think it will ever run because apple is selling wants to sell its hardware MAC…and make fool of people saying that fcp is free with it……but its stupid software…i’m sick of it…..
if u want a good software go for AVID….I have done the biggest mistake buying FCP please u don’t do the same…..AVID runs on both MAC and Windows..it costs higher but u won’t regret it…..

Um, dropping into a 6 month old thread just to trash FCP?

Not sure what your issues were but I can assure you FCP is not “stupid software.” Lots of stupid operators to be sure, but the software itself is solid and delivering broadcast projects to networks here in the U.S. along with films and untold thousands of hours of corporate projects as well.

Myself we’re delivering to Food Network, NBC, PBS and The Weather Channel just in our most recent projects and we’re soon to be delivering to the Discovery Networks for which Apple’s ProRes is one of only three acceptable codecs for use in their “Gold Tier” programming level. We’re up to over 100 HD Masters for Broadcast one and several hundred hours of SD programming off our three FCP systems.

FCP and Avid are both tools. If you don’t know how to use the tool, doesn’t matter what you use.
