I’m editing videos for a summer camp that has purchased a new imac for me to use, but it only has 4GB of ram. Its a quad core 2.5ghz imac of the latest model.

This really doesn’t seem like enough ram at all, particularly for the night game videos that involve more processing for a cinematic look

I have 4GB of ram in my personal macbook pro, which is a 2.5ghz intel core 2 duo, 17 inch from 2008. MacBookPro4,1

Can I connect the macbook pro (2008) to this new imac (2012) and configure the imac to use ram in my macbook pro, in addition to the ram that’s already in the imac? We will be editing on FCPX

    Thanks!
