Well you can turn Quartz Composer files to Final Cut Pro (or Motion or After Effects) filters, generators or transitions with Noise Industries FxFactory Pro (https://www.noiseindustries.com/). I have build some simple generators and filters with Quartz Composer and FxFactory Pro and it’s relatively easy if you know the basics of Quartz Composer.

Well there’s also cheaper alternative called CVH QC Integration FX which should work in Tiger. It lacks some features but should be fine in your situation.

FxFactory 2.0.3 will work on Tiger systems, and support Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 and Motion 2.1.2 as well:

As Tapio kindly pointed out, it is relatively easy to create plug-ins if you already have a composition. Although you need Pro to do this, our trial version lasts 15 days so you should be able to create and use something quickly enough, within the free trial.

    Phil,
Try just placing the .qtz file directly in the timeline

You can bring some .qtz files (screensavers, animations etc.) straight to timeline but Phil is talking about iChat effects (which should work as filters) and you’ll get only black screen if you bring those to FCP.

thank you every one for responding i think my best option is to get an old version of fxfactory which fortunately the site still holds and just run the demo and play around with that…. shame its so expensive!!
