  Can i use jvc 700 mpg files directly into editor

  Hello my question may be too stupid but i have to ask this , as we are starting to use jvc 700 camera i am confused on the issue that it has sdcards from which we directly copy paste the files into our hard disk. The earlier process of acquiring through a blackmagic card has been eliminated.
  So i know that these cameras are built to provide best compression to fit on disk , now because of directly coping the files i am unsure that am i using compressed files directly in my adobe premiere? Do i have to convert these files into high quality using cineform or balckmagic presets so i can edit them in full quality. Please let me know asap.
