Can I shoot NTSC 60p footage, use in Twixtor and output as 25p PAL
So basically i have a music video coming up where we will be ramping motion a lot, I live in England so we obviously shoot PAL. Now I know that the more frames twixtor has to work with, the better the results.
So with that in mind can I shoot 60p and still output to a 25p PAL format. It is for online release only, so does it even matter which I shoot?
Im using a Cannon 550d/T2i
I usually shoot 50p when using twixtor but I want to get the best results possible!

I am not sure which app you use, but Twixtor in AE allows you to set the In FPS and you set the Out FPS with comp settings. This works except it changes a bit the meaning of your speed curves.

So if i automate to music in 60p throughout (using twixtor in all my shots) and render the final comp out at 25p PAL it will throw it all out of whack?
PS I use both FCP and AE (prefer FCP)

The workflow is different in AE and FCP
In FCP you have to use Cinema Tools to reinterpret the footage so FCP loads all 60 frames in your 25 FPS project, and load the audio separately.https://help.revisionfx.com/album/19/#/tutorial-47
https://help.revisionfx.com/album/19/#/tutorial-45In AE there is a concept of FPS within the app and when you change FPS a second of audio remains a second of audio. One option is to simply do the frame rate conversion in a subcomp and then in the main comp animate a speed curve with AE time remappling curve. It will like that also use Twixtor in the subcomp to calculate the in-between frames.
