Can I separate a stereo track into 2 channels?
I have a stereo (2 channel) track. I want to control each trach separately, fading it up when appropriate and down when not. BTW, this was a conference with Q&A and I do not want the echoy room mic open during the prestations. The final output should be mono.

Absolutely. The manual way is to copy the track, right-click one of them and choose “Right Channel”, right-click the other one and choose “Left Channel”.
To make it even easier (if you’re using the full version of Vegas and not one of the Movie Studio versions), you can use one of these scripts found here:
