    Hey guys,

Just shot some green screen interviews and looking for ideas for background plates. Can you post links to your interview footage? I’m looking for something that is in an office, or bookshelf, etc. These are testimonials from businessmen.

Was thinking of blurring the background of an office like place. Like the do on History Channel. SO anything you have to inspiration would be great!

I typically shoot people in a setting. If it needs to be business, then I shoot them in the business that they are in. Or against a bookshelf, or in their office or den. Doing what you are talking about seems as canned as elementary school pictures, with sheets of fake backdrops. And no doubt it will look as fake.

When I did deal with interviews shot on green screen, we had moving graphics behind them.

If you want to make coffee shoot out of the client’s nose, you can just key them over the Colosseum in Rome, or The Sea of Tranquility on the Moon.

    (sorry..couldn’t resist)

The reason I’m doing this is because my other alternative was “blah.”

Here was my situation. We do an annual tribute video to the outgoing leader of our group, and we get several “testimonials” of people saying good job, funny story, etc.

Well, there were 3 people to do it this year and they were at a hotel for a conference. I was giving a 20×19 break room looking area. Only background would be the busy patterned drapes!

So I opted to green screen them and place them in settings. My first ideas was to make a cool motion background, but now I’m thinking of just using some real scenery that looks “office like” that’s lens blurred out. So it looks like I shot on location. Make sense?

Here’s a video I found on youtube of boxers with cool backgrounds, blurred and simple. Trying to achieve this with office like backgrounds (bookshelf, windows, hallway, etc.)
