Can I run FCP 7 off my external hard drive?
I use FCP 7 on my computer but I just had to bring it in for some repairs. I have it backed up on a bootable drive. The computers in my school run FCP 6 so I can’t just open my projects on those computers. If i boot from my external hard drive, can I run FCP 7 so that I can still work on those projects while my computer is in the shop?

Possibly. The only way to know is to try it out. If the hardware on the school’s systems is substancially different from your own, then you might not be able to boot from your drive.
