  • Can I make a cloner full of metaballs?

Posted by Joseph Herman on December 7, 2011 at 4:54 pm

Hi. I would like to make a cloner full of metaballs and have them interact with each other as such.

I tried putting a meta-balled sphere into a cloner, but that didn’t work. Then I tried to put a cloner into a metaball object, but that didn’t work either.

Is this possible? I seem to remember seeing a rendered example where it looked like they did this, but maybe they did it a different way.

    Thanks.

Could you post your solution for those searching the forum in the future? Nothing more frustrating than to run across something you think will answer your question only to find they say “nevermind I solved it”

    Thanks

    Agreed!

The solution is to simply make your cloner object a child of your metaball object. blobs and blobs of fun!
