Can I look at a clip and see which sequences it is in?
I have a huge project file, with a ton of clips and many sequences. I want to search to see if a particular clip is used in any sequences. How can I do that?

Open a sequence, press CMD-F..type in the name of the clip. Repeat in all the other sequences.

can i do this without opening sequences? i have a ton of sequences and am wondering if i can search without needing to open them.

No…you need to open them.
Or you can highlight them, export them as XML, import them into an application called Sequence Clip Reporter (intelligentassistance.com) and search the file it makes. But the first option is free, and faster.
