Hello. I am using AE6 win version.
Right now I am making lots of adjustment layers in main composition that has lots of effects.
And I have other compositions that need same adjustment layers that this main composition uses.
So I have a question, is it possible to link those adjustment layers using expression?
I mean, for example there is a adjustment layer in main composition, it has gaussian blur and threshold effects,
and I want link those effects to other adjustment layer to make same gaussian blur and threshold effects in other composition.
I want to link them like using Pick whip tool.

I already read this topic,Using composition with collapse option works fine, but is there more simpler way?

to use the expression pickwhip tool between comps, just have both comps open in the timeline (you’ll see them both as tabs) and start dragging one comp’s timeline tab down.

as you do, you’ll see portions of the timeline highlight (like the top edge, left edge, etc.). release it on the top edge (that’s my preference anyway).

now you’ll have two timelines visible. enable expressions for a property and use the pickwhip to link it to the corresponding property in the other comp.

once you’d done this for one pre-comp, you can select the linked property(ies) and choose edit>copy expression only and then start selecting those properties in other pre-comps and paste the expressions. each of those expression will now link the properties back to the main comp.

It works. I didn’t know that pick whip can be used in other composition. Thank you for your good advice.
