  • Can I keyframe the loudness effect?

I have some audio which is too low in one section, even if I increase it to 12db. I want apply the loudness effect from the inspector, but I only want to apply it to this one section of the clip. Is that possible? I’ve been playing with the program and reading online and it doesn’t seem possible.

Perhaps you can fake it, by blading the sections and then adding a dissolve to smooth the audio transition… I did thaton something last week, only because I didn’t know a better way, and it seemed to work.

I might export the entire audio track into the free app called Audacity, apply a leveling filter there to normalize it all, and re-import the result. Could be faster.

Use the blade tool to cut the section you want to manipulate, then apply the effect to it.
