Can I force 5.5 to read projects created in later versions?
I’ve just found this site and wow it’s great!
Anyway I’ve been browsing for a few tutorials and found John Dickinson’s ‘Creating animated backgrounds’ extremely interesting.
Unfortunately I own AE5.5 (Prod Bundle) and it seems the project files were created in a later version. Therefore AE5.5 is telling me I can’t open the project file. 🙁
Does anyone know if there is a way to force 5.5 to open the file as I can’t afford to upgrade at the moment and the tutorial probably isn’t using any later versions features anyway??
Hope someone can help.

Nope. Or to make it even clearer: No way in Hell to open newer version’s files in older versions of AE. Sorry, but it’s always been this way.
