  • Can I Export Bins From FCP to Avid?

Posted by Chris Dukes on July 28, 2007 at 9:52 pm

Basically, I have a bin of audio files, each with location markers and in/out markers, that I want to import into Avid. I want to avoid having to remark all the clips once I get to the Avid system. As far as I can tell, Automatic Duck only works with sequences. I’m going to post this in the Avid section as well. I’ll take any and all suggestions, thanks.

It’s your lucky day! The program to do this is free.

“fcp2ale – converts batch lists exported from FCP to ALE shot logs which can be imported in Avid. This makes it possible to move bins containing clips from FCP to Avid.”

Thanks for the reply. Will all the markers and in/out marks come with it?
