    I am trying to do a class project with some videos that are streaming flv files which require silverlight.

    I want to rip/download but downloadhelper on firefox does not see them and I want to try to avoid using IshowU or screanFlow if possible.

    any thoughts on a way to do this?

    thanks
    sean

    Nope. Silverlight is being touted by Microsoft as a way for content producers to protect their content. It is unrippable.

    FLV and silverlight?

    FLV = flash

    Silverlight is Windows.

    Try Keepvid.com

    Paste URL and you can download as MP4.
