Can I disable this annoyance in FCP7?
Not sure if it also does this in other versions, but in Final Cut Pro 7 when I drag a clip down into a sequence it automatically moves the playhead to the end of the clip and zooms in on the sequence. What an absolutely useless, annoying feature!
After digging through all the settings and plenty of searching online I can’t find any way to stop it. Is there a way?

well it shouldn’t zoom IN, but yes, the playhead is at the tail of the clip, ready for the next edit.
just hit your up arrow to get back to the start of the clip if that’s what you want.nick
