I want to use a pre-made animation with alpha channel to reveal some logos & text. Using RED5, can I cumulatively paint a transparency mask for the logos & text using the animation?

    Hi Jaeson,

Sure … that should be fairly easy to do actually. Any or all of the paint strokes that you create in Boris RED can be set to reveal an image over time.

Here’s a link to a free paint tutorial on the web:

I’m note sure I understand how to use the paint option for this.

I don’t want to apply the brush strokes myself. I want a premade animation with alpha to do the full screen reveal. Non-transparent areas of the animation will paint the mask for the logo/text. As the animation progress, more of the mask is filled in, eventually revealing the full logo/text.

I’m looking for something that behaves like trails. As the animation progresses, all previous frames remain visible, eventually the transparent areas are painted away.
