I want to change the default length of text. I’m using keystrokes to insert text into the timeline and I want text inserts that are 3 seconds rather than 5 seconds long. how can i change the default for this? is there a way?

Noam- The way I do it is to build a basic text object for a project with all the attributes I want then copy and paste into the browser. When I need an additional text object in the timeline I copy from the browser to the timeline and retype the words. It keeps all the attributes including the duration.

Change the still image duration preference in the User Preferences to be the length of whatever you’d like a new text file to be…
