I have about 6 layers in a comp and one uses 3d stroke. I’d like 3d stroke to be controlled by a comp camera, however the other 5 layers are also controlled by a camera and I want the stroke layer to be controlled independ of the other 5 layers. Is there a way to assign a camera to a layer.

I would just use precomps but the 3d stroke interacts with the other layers and if i precomped it means I’d have to do some extra masking to get the stroke to convincingly interactive with the other elements.

For the most part: No. But you could try to make your other five layers into one layer by pre-comping and then use auto-orient or expresssions to make it stay in place even though your camera is moving.
