  Can I add effects to footage before it is dragged into timeline?

  I have created a pretty complex edit of two seperate locked off shots of a sculpture. After creating the edit in the timeline I have realised that one of the shots needs some work done to it with effects..

  I could put it in an adjustment layer but then it will effect the other shot.

  Is there a way I can add the effect to the raw footage, and have that effect translate over to the edited footage?
