Can FCS export to MPEG 2 Program type file?

August 12, 2005 at 4:26 pmNot in one step. You can make the elemental mpeg & audio streams with Compressor, but then you have to find some 3rd party software to multiplex the 2 streams together.

August 12, 2005 at 5:12 pmActually, with Compressor 2 you can now do this in one step. You need to change the preset for your favorite MPEG 2 preset to “Multilexed MPEG-1/Layer 2 Audio”. This checkbox is found under the Encoder settings/Extras.

August 15, 2005 at 7:23 pmDid you encode the audio as AC-3? QT cannot play back AC-3 audio, so when you play a MPEG-2 movie that is muxed with an AC-3 track, then you will not hear the audio, but it is there.
