    Just switched froom PC tp MAC. Premiere to FCS. Can FCS export to MPEG 2 Program type file?
    That’s audio and video as 1 file.

    Not in one step. You can make the elemental mpeg & audio streams with Compressor, but then you have to find some 3rd party software to multiplex the 2 streams together.

    Actually, with Compressor 2 you can now do this in one step. You need to change the preset for your favorite MPEG 2 preset to “Multilexed MPEG-1/Layer 2 Audio”. This checkbox is found under the Encoder settings/Extras.

    I tried that setting, all I got was a video file with no audio.

    If you can’t get Compressor 2 to do it than you can always use BItVice Helper to mux the two files together. It’s free. http://www.versiontracker.com

    Did you encode the audio as AC-3? QT cannot play back AC-3 audio, so when you play a MPEG-2 movie that is muxed with an AC-3 track, then you will not hear the audio, but it is there.
