have done a search and seems noting came up aside from that tfact that FCP can not edit to a HDV deck…

have things changed? any other way – IE software alternative to export to HDV so it maintains TC etc?

FCP can export to an HDV deck just fine. But Editing to Tape and getting timeline TC so that Bars and Tone start at 58:30:00 and picture starts at 1:00:00:00…no. HDV is not a mastering format, it is an acquisition format only. The only option you have is Print to Video.

We have output to the Sony HDV deck HVR-M15U. Yes unfortunately you can only Print to Video. But another problem has reared it ugly head. The audio when output to tape is about 1 second off. Is there a way to fix this.

    Thanks in advance.
