Can FCP 4.5 Play with Panasonic AJHD1400?
I’m having problems going from FCP to the deck without a “dropped frames” issue. It digitized from the deck to FCP with absolutely no problems.
If I remove the audio from the sequence, I don’t get any “dropped frames” warnings. The video always plays out fine.
A chart on the Panasonic site has a checkmark by Panasonic 1200 deck and FCP 4.5, but for the 1400, the checkmark is only next to FCP 5.1. I’m using the firewire connection.
Any ideas?

Try doing and audio mix-down. Select all in your sequence (Command-A) and then hit command-option-r. This is render all of your audio to a more manageable file and you should be able to power through.
