Can anyone recommend some college type reading material?
Hey everyone,
I’m interested in enhancing my fundamental understanding of film & video, both production & post production. I went to school for audio engineering and then business, but I have wound up working primarily in film based post production. I’ve learned a lot on-the-job but I’d like to enhance this with some books. Can you recommend a few? I just browsed through Amazon and there are 100’s of books on broadcast engineering, video production/editing/etc.
I know Adobe has some really good tutorials for all their apps (we use CS4 at work), but I’d like something along the lines of ‘The Mix Engineers Handbook’, ‘Confessions of a Record Producer’, ‘Behind the Glass’, etc. There are about 10 books which are considered required reading for an audio guy. So I’m looking to get into some “required reading” for video, and I’m not sure where to start.
Thanks,
-Wesley
