the ability to connect and stability of connection with FTP connections initiated by the Connect to Server command are dependent on the FTP server software running at the other end (or so it seems in my own experience)

Cyberduck is great and free … Transmit is not free but is worth the price

Another vote for Transmit. I love this tool and wish Panic woudl do something else I need.

I used to use Fetch, and it was OK. I wasn’t doing much uploading or downloading back then, however.

Now I use Transmit, and it’s Grrrreat!

I was having lots of problems using the OS X Connect To Server. It only worked consistently when connecting to other people’s .mac accounts. It was a crapshoot trying to connect to any others.

    Transmit.
    Well worth the nominal price.

Transmit rocks, and it’s only 29 bucks.

    Have a wonderful day.
